ABSTRACT



Friedrich Wilhelm Murnau is widely known for his NOSFERATU -- EINE SYMPHONIE DES GRAUENS (1922), one of the most famous silent films ever. He also collaborated with CALIGARI authors Hans Janowitz (e.g. on DER JANUSKOPF), and especially Carl Mayer (e.g. on DER LETZTE MANN and SUNRISE).
